Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM)

The Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) is a year-long professional development and accreditation programme for primary schools in the UK. Designed to raise the profile and quality of science education, it provides school science leaders with the training and a framework to evaluate their science curriculum and teaching practices.

We worked alongside expert hub-leaders to achieve this nationally recognised award.

For this, our science subject coordinator, Mr Pressley, had to build a strong, evidence-based vision for science in our school and complete a structured cycle of self-assessment, action planning, and reflection.

This award is the only school science improvement programme promoted and validated by Ofsted and our accredited PSQM status remains valid for 3 years.
