Football Fun Factory

Dear Parents and Carers,

My name is Holly, and I have been the Head Coach at Football Fun Factory for the past three and a half years.

We are delighted to be running our Summer HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) Football Fun Camps once again this year in Deal and Sandwich

If your child is eligible for benefits-related free school meals, they may be entitled to up to 16 HAF credits through the Holiday Activities eVoucher system, allowing them to attend a range of activities completely free of charge throughout the summer holidays.

Whilst our camps are football-themed, they are about much more than football. We pride ourselves on creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment where children can make friends, build confidence and enjoy being active.

Alongside football activities, we offer team games, challenges and enrichment activities throughout the day. We also have a dedicated arts and crafts area, which is always hugely popular with many of our children.

Every child attending through the HAF programme will also receive a free hot meal during the day.

If your child is eligible, please use the Holiday Activities eVoucher system to book your HAF-funded place.

We would love to welcome your child this summer and help them enjoy a fun-filled holiday with friends, activities and plenty of smiles.

Thanet Smuggler Experience

A new interactive museum in Ramsgate! It's an immersive dive into the world of smuggling throughout Thanet during the 18th and 19th Centuries, and can be found in Plunder, the bookshop on Ramsgate High Street.

The Thanet Smuggler Experience is suitable for all ages, and we have tried to keep the cost as low as possible: £3 entry per head, £5 for two, or £10 for a family ticket of two adults and some(!) children. It is open seven days a week, all year.

Summer Theatre Workshop

The Theatre Creative is a local theatre company founded and led by experienced former primary teachers and school leaders with over 20 years’ experience working with children. We are passionate about creating high-quality, inclusive performing arts opportunities that help children build confidence, develop communication skills, make new friendships and discover a love of performing.

Following the success of our Matilda Jr. Summer Workshop last year, we are delighted to be returning this summer with Annie Jr. Throughout the week, children work alongside experienced adults to rehearse a fully licensed production before performing it for family and friends at the end of the workshop.

As education professionals ourselves, safeguarding and children’s wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do. Parents can be reassured that:

- All staff are enhanced DBS checked.
- Appropriate public liability insurance is in place.
- Robust safeguarding and GDPR policies are followed.
- All child performance licensing requirements are fully adhered to.
- The production is officially licensed.

As a local organisation, our reputation means everything to us, and we are committed to providing a safe, supportive and high-quality experience for every child who joins us. Our social media pages contain photographs, videos and reviews from last year’s workshop, giving families a genuine insight into the experience.

We believe the workshop provides children with a fantastic opportunity to develop confidence, creativity and teamwork while enjoying a structured, engaging activity during the summer holidays—something that many working families also find incredibly valuable.

Thanet Lifeguard Club

Thanet Lifeguard Club is a local, volunteer-led community club dedicated to teaching young people essential water safety and lifesaving skills. Our Rookie Lifesaver Programme is designed for children aged 7–12 who are confident swimmers and are looking to continue developing their skills beyond traditional swimming lessons.

With coastal communities such as ours, we believe that water safety education is an invaluable life skill. Our sessions help children build confidence, teamwork, leadership and first aid knowledge, while learning practical lifesaving techniques in a safe, enjoyable environment.

There is no obligation for families to join; we simply hope to raise awareness of the opportunities available locally and encourage more young people to develop skills thatcould one day save a life.

Ramsgate Swimming Club

Ramsgate Swimming Club is one of the UK's oldest swimming clubs, which has been teaching children to swim and develop water confidence since 1884.

We are keen to advertise with local schools to promote swimming, water safety, fitness, and healthy lifestyles among young people in our community.

We welcome children of all abilities, from those looking to improve their swimming skills to those interested in progressing into competitive swimming.

We are currently offering free trial sessions, allowing children to experience the club before committing to membership.

Our qualified volunteer teachers provide a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment where children can build confidence, make friends, and develop lifelong swimming skills.

More information can be found in the attached flyer.
